Well, Xbox Live isn't directly to blame for this problem. Pedophiles -- unfortunately -- will use any and every means of accessing children to their advantage. However, it does need to be mentioned that XBox Live has a horrible reporting system for these sorts of things. Worse yet, Microsoft has made it clear in the past that they really don't give a rip as long as someone is a paying Xbox Live customer.

I think the article was trying to state that it has become a problem that's getting bigger on the 360. We all know that the PC is the number one resource for a phedophile. But with the 360, they have another avenue to explore. And since the 360 is getting bigger and bigger it is becoming somewhat of a problem.
but in my opinion, as long as parents monitor and explain to their kids the threats and dangers of the internet, just like in real life, I think they will have a better understanding of it.
I think also, there are way too many kids playing M-rated games. I think no one below the age of 15 should be online anyways. That way they can at least be old enough to understand any dangers online.

Xbox LIVE has a neat feature to stop unwelcomed messages and vistors, its called 'block communication'.

I normally use it on all americans because your all up yourselves, and it means NO one i deem to be a freak can talk to me.

Its common sense, why would you want to meet a stranger you met over Xbox LIVE or PS3 network anyway, Its a 100% chance the guy your talking to is an absolute freak anyway. Only people i see outside of home that play Xbox LIVE are my mates and thats only about 5 people everyone else on my friends list can meet up with someone else.
