Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC Release Date Mentioned in New GeForce Now Leak

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to different platforms sooner or later, and GeForce Now may have given fans a release date for its PC port.

phoenixwing923d ago (Edited 923d ago )

June 1 2022 is the date

Hopefully this saves ppl scrolling through a wall of text just to get to the date

Teflon02922d ago

One thing I love about n4g is that there's always someone willing to suffer the bs to save me some time. Actually appreciate it lol

It's honestly so annoying when journos stuff an article with a bunch of fluff just for one small piece of new information. One thing they specifically taught us in journalism school is that the newest and most important information is always in the first paragraph. Background info comes after. Too many journos always do it backwards.

plmkoh922d ago

It's pretty clear you're still in school or not a journalist if you're unaware why articles are deliberately written like that.

annoyedgamer922d ago

Id look into changing majors tbh, job prospects are slim in that field.

porkChop922d ago

@plmkoh
I graduated many years ago bud. I understand *why* they do it, I never said I didn't. That doesn't change the fact that it isn't good journalism.

@annoyedgamer
Yeah lots of big Canadian publications have shut down over the last decade. It's because the industry has been moving into the digital age. But a lot of publications haven't figured out reliable ways to monetize it.

Darkborn922d ago

I'll defend porkchop in this where he never said he does that or didn't understand it either. Of course everyone knows why they do this, but the critical information or at least the headline should be answered quickly and briefly, followed by supporting information. Same exact way a college paper is written with a thesis statement first, followed by supporting evidence.

SDuck922d ago

thank you, you legend. That makes it a 2 year exclusive to playstation. Might've been extended due to PS5 and the next gen update to display the console (nobody had) power

porkChop922d ago

The dates are just placeholders. For sure the TES VI date is wrong. It's coming out in 2024, but not on January 2nd. It'll come out March 25th 2024 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of TES: Arena.

BrainSyphoned922d ago

November 11th 2026 give or take a few more re-releases.

porkChop922d ago

Lmao for the 15th anniversary of Skyrim? Hey, at this rate you could be right.

Darkborn922d ago

I still think a lot of the dates are either placeholders or they used to be right a year or so ago and now everything has shifted due to games being pushed back a year or so. I don't think playstation games were meant to release 3 or so months after ps5 or we'd already see some of them released for pc right now like ratchet and clank and demons souls or returnal. Maybe they were right like if horizon forbidden west did release this year but it got pushed back. Just no one should take the list in its entirety as fact, and some games might never actually release on pc. Who knows.

specialguest922d ago (Edited 922d ago )

Took them long enough. I thought the PC version was going to be released this year. First mod will likely be Tifa's huge breast mod

EternalTitan922d ago

The first mods should remove the stupid sports bra and replace the shorts with appropriate underwear.

Ubisoft to Focus on "Return to Leadership" in Open World Genre, Expand Live Service Experiences

Ubisoft says they are focusing on two "core verticals," and that's to return as a leader in the open world genre, and live service games.

enkiduxiv20h ago

Calling Ubisoft a leader in open world gaming at any point in time would be like calling Dollar General a leader in retail.

excaliburps8h ago

Well, to be fair, they did pump out good open world games before. It was used as a template so much that people now know what it means when you say it's like an Ubi open world collectahon.

shinoff21836h ago

What though? I can't think of one game they had where I liked anything about it. Atleast since the ps3/360 Gen

Kornholic6h ago

If they have never been the leader in open world gaming, then explain me this: why does almost every open world game follow the same tired old Ubisoft open world formula?

Follow the Leader.

isarai19h ago

You were never the leader bro 🤣

shinoff218317h ago(Edited 17h ago)

I don't think they were ever the leader tbh. I've never really cared for any of their open world games. I do wanna try watch dogs 2 because it looks like it's set in San Fran. Looked interesting

Name someone that isn't trying to look us these days maybe cdpr.

Take two, ubi and yes even PlayStation are pushing us to own nothing and be happy with our live service ad injected games on a sub so they can raise prices at will and take access away when they see fit.

If it keeps up I'll be a full time retro gamer and this industry will be crashing hard

As rediculas as it sounds we need government reforms to defend consumer rights

I'm really curious to see what he's going to do. It seems like a GTA-style game, but I wonder how it'll differentiate itself.

Goodguy017h ago(Edited 7h ago)

A new studio making a AAA game. Yea, that'll go well. I still think new studios should only make small games for a few years to build up teamwork and trust within.

shinoff21836h ago

That's a good point but if they have the talent it may not be needed

Mr_cheese5h ago

And the industry experience like this guy clearly does

anast4h ago

If it weren't one of the founder's of one of the most prolific open-world game studios, I would agree.

EazyC2h ago

That is an interesting point. They should gun for something akin to a great PS3 game imo. The resource cost of say RDR 2 would only EVER be possible by a monolithic titan of an organisation. It would be crazy to even try and compete straight away.
