Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"Looking at the popularity of the NieR franchise today and one would never believe that it all began in a rather strange way over a decade ago with two different versions of the same game being released, only with Japan getting both versions of the game and the West only getting NieR Gestalt. With the story altered only slightly to place the focus on a father daughter relationship instead of a sibling one, the game was something of a hidden gem thanks to its incredibly unique story that was buried between aged combat mechanics and a number of other troublesome design decisions. So now with NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… bringing the original Japanese story to the West with upgrades all around, can the rest of the game now match what the original was known for?"
Also included are Star Ocean The Divine Force, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Unpacking.
Hot damn those are some high quality games right there. I've been meaning to give 13 Sentinels a go, just haven't had the time to get around to it.
13 Sentinels is a must play if you haven't. Like, I can't praise enough what an awesome story and set of characters that game has.
Shuhei Yoshida chats with Yoko Taro, Yosuke Saito, and Keiichi Okabe about their work in the NieR series.
If you love the NieR Series including NieR: Automata and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… you're certainly not alone.
What is it with SE and their obsession with this game , if it wasn't for the sex appeal and the internet degenerates this would have flopped and became forgotten like the rest of Yoko taro overrated trash , better invest on your abandoned IP's if you desperately want sex appeals on your games , just give Parasite Eve a chance SE
No one cared about the "unique story," the only thing people cared about was blind girls fat ass. Prove me wrong.
Fantastic game so far! I have yet to start on Returnal!
The neir released in west on ps3 had a male character but this one has a different one is this a different game?
