Over 8 years and 3 releases, IO Interactive went from being owned by Square Enix to being picked up and published by Warner, only to go independent with the final entry.
This sounds messy on paper, but IO Interactive also casually released the best stealth game ever made and one of the best titles of the past 10 years. While other franchises tried to be more accessible to wider audiences, the Hitman Trilogy doubled down and focused on the core strengths of the series while also being respectful of its own legacy."
With the release of Freelancer Mode, Hitman: World of Assassination has added two paid DLC packs to the game: the Street Art Pack and the Makeshift Pack.
Will it have actual cutscenes this time? There was no excuse for that slideshow rubbish in the last one.
What are the next gen enhancements also? I havent seen this discussed anywhere. 🤔
I touched on the first (reboot) and loved it but never went back. Do I need to play the others first you think?
I feel like they missed their chance to make a Copenhagen (or generally Denmark) based map, considering they're a Danish developer located in Copenhagen. Not a lot of people really know about our country - when most people think "Scandinavia" they immediately think "Sweden" - so it would have been an obvious chance to bring some awareness to our country :) Maybe for the DLC?
