"In 2015, we shared our vision for the World of Assassination; an ever-expanding game that would evolve over time and be the foundation for future HITMAN games. Those were the exact words we used and a central promise to how we’ve released the three games in the 7 years that followed.
Today, we’re excited to announce some upcoming changes to how our players (both existing and new) will experience, access and purchase HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2 and HITMAN 3. These changes will make it easier than ever to enter and enjoy the World of Assassination – and finally allow us to realise the vision we set out to achieve."
HITMAN's new mission features DJ Dimitri Vegas as "The Drop," a unique character. Get ready for the beat of intrigue, action, and excitement
ESTNN Wrties: "When Hitman's World of Assassination was revealed at E3 2015, IO Interactive probably didn't expect the Odyssey they would go on with this project. Over 8 years and 3 releases, IO Interactive went from being owned by Square Enix to being picked up and published by Warner, only to go independent with the final entry.
This sounds messy on paper, but IO Interactive also casually released the best stealth game ever made and one of the best titles of the past 10 years. While other franchises tried to be more accessible to wider audiences, the Hitman Trilogy doubled down and focused on the core strengths of the series while also being respectful of its own legacy."
With the release of Freelancer Mode, Hitman: World of Assassination has added two paid DLC packs to the game: the Street Art Pack and the Makeshift Pack.
Good for them for simplifying the absolute mess of their current system. Too bad they had to be so greedy and release as an Epic store exclusive. Now your game is worth $10 max.
While you're simplifying things, fix the horrible menu and nav system. Tried to play the demo but couldn't figure out how to even start a VR mission since every single button brings up a DLC purchase screen. Jfc.
I'll +1 gamerz comment below. Glad to see them simplifying this, the current system is a bit of a mess. The games have been great overall though, glad to see Hitman back on track and keep it coming.
Hitman 2's DLC should be included as part of the game as it connects 2 & 3.
