Yakuza 0-2 Considered by Developers; Shin Yakuza Gets New Info on Locations and Protagonist

Yakuza Producer Daisuke Sato mentioned that the team thought about the possibility of a Yakuza 0-2 and gave some hints on Shin Yakuza.

Yakuza games have been extremely high quality of late. Yakuza 5, Yakuza 0, and Yakuza Kiwami have all been phenomenal games and Yakuza 6 scores are out and it too is receiving rave reviews. Good job Sega. The more Yakuza the better.

We all know that's not gonna happen. I'll be happy if they localize Hokuto Ga Gotoku already. I'm terrified by the idea that anime licensing issues could get in the way.

Yakuza 2 is coming, so Fist should come too.

Well they've localized a kens rage back on the PS3 so I don't think it will be an issue

Only played Kiwami 1 and Zero, but Zero has a far more interesting story ng 1. 1 was ruined by that girl child that was present in the entire game. Forgot the name though

Kiwami 1 and 2 are remasters of yakuza 1 and 2. Yakuza 0 is a prequel, with the events taking place before yakuza 1.

I'm playing 0 ATM, first Yakuza game I've tried. I'm enjoying it but the fighting is really Arcady while the story of the game has a serious tone. For me that was an odd choice.

Just keep playing majority of us play yakuza for story. But having the options of side stories and otter mini games are good

Yakuza is about Japanese culture and the developers give us the chance to experience it

I love the city, the flashing lights and Japanese design. Every cutscenes I'm just sitting there checking the sights.

I just started chapter 3 with the guy who manages the Grand club.

I can get over the combat controls. As their not a major issue, just feels like Sega did a slight dead rising (ott with bear style) approach to it in this game.

I think that's what makes the game good. The arcade nature of the fighting makes it easy to have lots of fights, and to build up your fighting styles.

I enjoy the rush and brawler fight style but the bear one was a little over the top for me.

Yes, sure, if they get the story right after Yakuza 0 and before Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2. Now that Yakuza 6 is confirmed as Kiryu last outing in the original series, why not have him in a parallel series in the 80's and 90's before Yakuza & Yakuza 2 / Kiwami and Kiwami 2? A younger Kiryu all out could be fun and devastating. Yakuza 0 has been the best release over the last 3 years and Yakuza 0-2 on the new engine could be the one to push the game even higher into recognition worldwide.

Honestly I don’t want anymore Kiryu, don’t get me wrong the man’s a legend but 6 is supposed to be his send off and word of mouth is that 6 does it fantastically. Would like the future of the series to continue to focus on brand new characters and stories
