The six-year lifespan of the Nintendo Wii produced hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of games, but not necessarily for the better. That's because most of them were cheaply-made forms of shovel-ware that usually ended up in a department store bargain bin (if they hadn't started there to begin with), but not all Wii titles are bound to this fate. The 15 games seen here are the biggest of the big ticket items in the Wii's library.

They were very nice I got one to use and kept a spare for collection got the gold nunchuck to go with it but had to get that from Japan

I really doubt the value is going to rise as much as they think it will. Used it's worth $70 or so . . .That's like $30 for the Wiimote, $30 for the game, and $10 for the CD. That's a slight markup for the gold edition Wii remote, but other than that each item is only selling for it's typical value.

New might be a bit different, but I doubt anyone commenting has a new copy.

I have One Piece &2 copies of Xenoblade. I heard the Dreamland of Kirby was going up in price plus the operation rainfall games CE's which I also have. Almost all the rare/expensive games I own I got when they came out. So never really sought out rare games.

No Shiren the Wanderer? No Castle of Shikigami III? No Ultimate Shooting Collection? No Opoona? No Gunblade NY & LA Machineguns Arcade Hits Pack? No Deadly Creatures? No Baroque? No Lost in Shadow? No Klonoa? Terrible list IMO.

I mean Metroid Prime Trilogy sold near half a million copies and Gamesradar thinks its rare? Also Zelda SS w/ Gold Wiimote is pretty much what EVERYONE bought. How is that rare? I'm reminded of the scene from The Princess Bride where Inigo Montoya tells Vizzini that Vizzini keeps using that word but he doesn't understand what that word means.

Yeah, exactly. Not to mention both Xenoblade and Metroid Prime Trilogy's prices tanked after they made their way to the Wii U eShop. On top of all of that not all of those are really that valuable. They're rare and you can only buy them for high prices, but that doesn't mean people are actually buying them at those prices.

Metroid Prime Trilogy definitely belongs on the list because it's a collector's item and it's still pretty desirable. Fire Emblem definitely does because it's a bit rare and highly desirable (I sold my copy for $80). A couple of the others deserve their spots but most of the others are worthless.

I'm happy I got the Skyward Sword Collector's Edition. Somebody stole the game disk but I still have the box, soundtrack and wiimote.

Pretty weak list in my opinion, lots of copies of those games were sold so there will be plenty of those in the wild.

I honestly think WiiU is worth collecting for now, while it's cheap. The console didn't sell well, the software even less so and as a result, these games will be much harder to find 20 years from now. Worst case scenario, the games dont appreciate in value in future, you still get to find out just how great a lot of the titles are on WiiU now.

Skyward Sword should definitely not be increasing, but a Wii U/Switch port would be nice as "no motion controls" :)

I have a copy of the Metroid Prime Trilogy. It's unpleasant to play because it's on Wii, which mandates the use of motion control, which I hate with a passion, but it looks nice in my collection and that's the important thing.
