Red Dead Redemption and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to Join Xbox One Backwards Compatible List?

AX: Ever since Microsoft announced the feature, fans have been clamouring over each other to make their voices heard in the debate about which games should be added to the backwards compatibility list. One that’s been sung loud and proud by the Xbox faithful is Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption. Well, it looks like it might be added eventually, at least if the below images are anything to go by. There’s also the chance that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 may be playable on Xbox One at some point, too.

if so... I will happily buy a digital version of Red Dead since I don't have it on disc anymore. Loved that game.

whitesoxfalife19761026d ago

same thing i'm saying bought all the dlc at that time

Bahamut1026d ago

Great game, but I kinda wish they'd remaster it and maybe add some additional content. I'd love to replay the game, but 1080p and 60fps would be preferable imo. I'd even settle for a simple PC port.

Dlacy13g1026d ago

I would rather get it BC to be honest and let them focus their efforts on a brand new Red Dead game.

Bahamut1026d ago

@Dlacy13g

Why not both?

AidenPearce1025d ago

I'd rather get a new Red Dead at this point tbh.

Supposedly a PC port wouldn't be "simple". A major reason it was never brought to PC in the first place was that for whatever reason (something about the way they coded it), porting it would have been insanely difficult.

For the same reason I have major doubts of it ever being a BC game.

I'd drop the Red Dead as fake. Any 360 game on the One's dashboard has the banner on the side of it. That RDR pic is printed as if it's a full-on One game. Which if they did that, it'd be RDR Remastered or some such.

Angerfist1026d ago

Yes. RDR is fake. It doesn't fit in their at all. The image has nothing to do with backwards compatibility. Tekken seems legit tho

chrish19901026d ago (Edited 1026d ago )

It does look a tad sketchy indeed: off screen picture, blurry, and the lack of 360 branding. But, and I can't be totally sure, I think some games have first appeared without branding before being officially added.

Still holding out hope though, there are some awesome screenshots to be made in RDR.

Rockstar said they won't support BC for their 360 games. So unless they changed their view this is false.

Rookie_Monster1026d ago (Edited 1026d ago )

Rockstar never said it. It was a sensational flame bait report from 'Gamepur', think they are banned from N4G, that used a headline to bait for hits and all they got on that article was Rockstar are not listed on the initial Publisher page of BC support for Xb1. But Rockstar never said it they won't ever support BC and their parent company, Take 2, already has games that are BC like Borderlands.

Here is the full link of that click bait headline article from Gamepur.

As a matter of fact, MS themselves said they are engaged with getting Rockstar titles to be BC.

https://www.vg247.com/2015/...
"As far as the lack of Rockstar titles is concerned, Irving said Microsoft is “engaged with all of our publisher and developer partners,” including Rockstar so don’t count them out just yet – it may just take a while."

Khaotic1026d ago

Guess you got shutdown. Sucks getting false info then repeating it

SCW19821026d ago

Yeah my bad sorry. That would be cool if it is legit.

davidhink1026d ago

No the didn't say that the article that claimed that rockstar won't support BC has been debunked

Jmanzare1026d ago

This guy would love for rdr to not be Bc lol

Condemnedman1026d ago (Edited 1026d ago )

they didn't say No. Just it may never.
