Gaetano Prestia of MMGN writes: Avalanche Studio’s Mad Max was always going to struggle to be relevant being released on the same day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Rarely do we have two open-world games released at exactly the same time, but I think that despite the latter garnering all the attention and good press, Mad Max will benefit from flying (or, erm, riding) under the radar. In one sense, it’s already managed to build somewhat of a cult following, which is certainly fitting for a license that started off in a similar fashion: I feel that a lot of gamers are turning to it when the highly intimidating and at-times inaccessible Phantom Pain doesn’t quite appeal to them. In another sense, the game suffers from a number of design and technical issues that sometimes render the game near-unplayable: these might have been further amplified had they been present in a more publicised game. Either way, Mad Max has a lot going for it if you know where to look, and I’ve still had a lot of fun playing it.
Games such as Mad Max, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight desperately deserve a modern-day revisit.
RDR2 still looks astounding on PS4 Pro. i cannot imagine how it could look with a next gen upgrade.
It's obviously never gonna happen since Sony killed the game and studio, but Driveclub. Even in its current state, 10 years after release, it still puts many competitors to shame ...
Mad max ikr! Far cry primal, it amuses me how ubisoft just left ac unity hanging, sadly most of the good staff left from rocksteady while being forced to make that abomination smh
BY MOSHE SWEET: These are the best licensed video games that are not Spider-Man or from the Batman: Arkham series.
I had a blast with a Bugs Bunny game on PS1 as a kid. It is probably trash now but at the time, it was awesome.
"50 Cent: Blood in the sand"
Ps3 scored 6/10 all round loads of review sites but was so much fun while not a technical masterpiece in any way has a worthwhile engaging story and script and of course an unbeatable soundtrack.
GF365: "Whether it be style, speed or firepower, these rides are sure to satisfy. Here are our picks for the ten best vehicles in video games."
The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series
Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground
Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3
And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2
I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.
