In recent news it had been announced that Uncharted 4 will be shown at E3 2014. With that being said, Uncharted 4 is unnecessary for the success of the PS4 and could actually potentially be harmful to the gaming industry and our future.

I mean, it is nice to see additional installments to popular franchise but if they do not reinvent themselves or change then they are hindering the gaming community.
This could be said about all prequels/sequels, but seriously, how could Uncharted 5 hurt the PS4? How could a Halo 5 hurt the Xbox1? Yes, gaming this generation needs some innovation outside of presentation and graphic upgrades, but every console needs it's "staple" franchise to push sales. While I'm not personally expecting "revolutinary" gameplay from either Uncharted or Halo, I can't fathom the idea that the experience playing them won't make me happy or dampen my excitement for the future.
