Top 10 Negative Aspects of Titanfall (Beta)

In general, TitanFall is having a great reception but there are several matters that players would severely like to see improved upon release.

jackanderson19854135d ago

numbers 2, 3 and 5 are subject to change i thought. Didn't Respawn come out and say that there will be changes to those 3?

number 10... thought you could create custom titans that had this auto eject function in them?

1, 7, 8 and 9 fully agree with especially burn cards like you can get a titan within the first minute by doing nothing

number 4 i haven't really had an issue with this yet.. always managing to run into another human player so far and the grunts are an afterthought to me

One positive - Sony fan's don't have it on PS4.

Edsword4135d ago

Haha, you are right I guess if you bought an XB1. Since the XB1 can only compete if the game is exclusive, I can see where this would be a positive for XB1 fans. For Sony fans though, every multiplatform game will be better. I don't really care because I will play this game on PC, maybe. Or I might just skip it.

Budobear4135d ago

How is that a positive?
I'm struggling to see how limiting your audience / potential customers is a positive, outside of fanboi smugness of course.

Edsword4135d ago

It's a positive because it would have been better on PS4. So if you are an XB1 fanboy, 3rd party exclusives are a victory. Simply put, since they'll never be able to say it's better on XB1, they can say, you can't get it on PS4.

Farmassy4135d ago

I don't see how this is positive and I am an X1 owner. I have been playing the beta and I assure you that PS fans do not want to miss this. It is so much fun. Pick it up on PC or go to a friends house and play.

Who cares about the console war? Play the games

Lol most of these. 2 and 6 are almost the same why do you wanna look apart you will stick out like a sore thumb to the enemy, not that they can't find you since you are the big red dot on the map.lol at 7 who ever this person is must not be very good to call the smart pistol op sure they aim for you but only thing that thing might beat is the shotgun at a long range or other pistols. 8 no problem with it if you have the powercell it recharges fast.9 you get rewarded a certain burn card for a completed challenge. Most go away once used others when you die. Each pilots takes 3 into battle so it's a matter off having 3 that you think will help or counter the other teams. 10 nope not 100 percent people must be blind not to see the guy with a clock forget it if there's not a roof near by you will die since you land on the floor. Not to mention once you doom a Titan if you punch it you grab the pilot also autoeject will eject you before the Titan actually explodes so it can make nuclear useless since you cant get it near other titans. Won't even get into 5 it's a beta. I will agree on #1. # 4 it's up for debate. # 3 talk about bashing it when it's fine most people can live with it

I never cared much for customization in FPS because you can't see yourself anyway... But I must admit, it would be neat to set my custom designed Titan in AI mode and watch h wreaking havoc.

1. Agreed. Titan Fall isn't a Massively Online Battle Area(MOBA) game because it's
only 6 vs. 6. The bots are horrible and I want to only shoot real players.
2. Agreed. You can only change their gender.
3. Agreed. I ran Titan Fall on a native 1080p resolution, Insane Texture Resolution, and everything turned up to high and it looked okay. Not bad, but not amazing. The gameplay is way more impressive.
4. Agreed. The maps are so large and there is significantly way more bots than real players. Its about 6 grunts, 6 spectres, and 6 real players. I have to active try really hard to find real players and I usually kill more or equal bots than I do real players. Even the red dots don't show me which floor the Real players are on or their exact location like the UAV in Modern Warfare 2(best red dot ever).
5. Disagree because I'm on PC.
6. Agreed. That's maddening and disheartening. I shoot at everything hoping its a real player because sometimes real players camp among the AI. Real players also camp a lot. Especially on the roofs.
7. Agreed. For about seven matches I tried to not use the smart pistol but after losing so many times to it, I made the switch because I want to win. It kills grunts in a second, any on screen too, in different directions. It's range is ridiculous. It even begins targeting when I'm running. That's not right.
8. Agreed. I assumed I could control it, so I pressed the left bumper again, then just ignored that I couldn't control it. Disappointing.
9. I don't know. I use Burn Cards and I like them. It always feels new. I haven't gotten any overpowered ones and they're gone when you die. Full vision doesn't seem bad at all but I haven't use it.
10. Disagree. So what. Let it be mate, let it be.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1009d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1009d ago (Edited 1009d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
