Outrise is still very early in development, but it is no doubt one to watch.
Greg Micek writes: "Does this mean James is going to run off with $376k (cad)? No, not at all. In fact, Last Year already has something that James’ previous games didn’t; funding. However, it does mean that by funding Last Year backers are entitled to better communication from James than what he’s delivered in the past. Simply disappearing like he did with Police Warfare and Outrise is not an option."
Good on the author for doing some research. This dev makes me feel very very uneasy.
Hope they sort out the issues because I love everything I have seen and heard about this game
Kotaku - Falling somewhere between Left 4 Dead and Shadow of the Colossus, Outrise is a game currently in development that centres around co-operative battles against enormous bosses. The catch being that the bosses aren't AI; they're controlled by a human as well.
Interested to see some gameplay of this. Hope this game is as epic as I want it to be...
Sounds boss, i'll keep my eye on this.
these are the kinds of multiplayer games i want to see, we don't need anymore COD clones.
I, honestly, have been throwing around this idea to myself for a while now. I am sure a few others have as well.
Alas, I am no game designer.
I wish to be, but that requires credentials and access which I just don't have.
This sounds like the recently announced game from turtle rock "Evolve". I guess multiplayer is changing big time this generation.
