The Geek Link Episode 84: Gotta Watch ‘Em All, Animé

This week we have a lot of talk about Animé and, more specifically, Pokémon. First up, Cannonfodder tells us about shows from the upcoming season that are worth paying attention to in the world of Animé. Then Smikey lets us know the current status on a game that we haven’t heard much from in a while. Apple and Samsung are back at it, and the outcome could be costly. He tells us what the results could mean for us. Xalaga has the Steam Machine’s specs, and they are nice. She also talks about the Pokemón Bank and a limited release Pokémon.

Hmm, not sure I agree with that. The recommendations I get are usually pretty good, but then again I have pretty large library of games on Steam and hundreds of them in my wish list, along with lots of curators I follow for it to build recommendations off of. On occasion it will throw me a random FIFA game or something I've never bought or shown interest in, but mostly its decent IMO.

I had the LaserActive... it was a nice collectors piece but not very practical. Especially when it came to needing recapping. I think i paid all of about $50 for the floor model from an incredible Universe back in the day. I ended up selling it many years later for $300 at the time due to it needing a new laser and the aforementioned recapping.

An honorable mention not on the list would be the VM Labs Nuon. It basically looked like any regular DVD player but it had ports on it for controllers to play specific games. one of which is still exclusive to it with Tempest 3000. It also offered nuon enhanced DVD movies with extra content not accessible by regular players.
