EG:We're just three days away from the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 - closer to two if you're planning to attend a midnight launch for the year's most eagerly awaited game. At Digital Foundry, we're aiming to bring you our findings on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game as soon as we can, but in the meantime we thought we'd take the time to pay tribute to its predecessor, not least because so much of what we do and the way we approach games today hails from the seismic release of GTA4 five years ago, and that Face-Off we produced at the time.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
As we have all been graced by the release of Grand Theft Auto 6's trailer, we're ranking the best and worst GTA trailers to date.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is an important game for Rockstar, not least because it was the first title in the franchise to use the newly created RAGE engine.
GTA 4 was awesome for random things happening, and making you laugh. Because of the physics engine, you could play for years and still have new things happen.
Over time you developed skill within the physics in the game and you could have some epic chases and destruction sequences.
I tried playing San Andreas again about 3 months ago and it was almost unplayable. It controlled like crap, graphics were iffy at best and it just wasn't fun to play any more.
GTA 4 was a HUGE step up even though it got rid of so much of what we liked.
GTA 5 is correcting that and adding way more than we could have ever hoped for.
I can't wait for Monday Night.
