Splinter Cell Blacklist - Spies vs Mercs 8 player mode

Let's hope Ubisoft doesn't screw up the Spies versus Mercs mode in Splinter Cell Blacklist which now comes with 8 player multiplayer. (PC, PS3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Wii U, Xbox 360)

I always played Pandoras Tomorrow and Chaos Theory multiplayer. They were my favorite games until Double Agent and Conviction came out. I'm hoping for crack neck fun again.

I like the older ones multiplayer better, there was more of a challenge. I found the newer ones multiplayer way too easy. I'm looking forward to it though.

"Cue Xbox 360 and PS3 and an early launch period game for the multiple format release of Double Agent which totally changed the ethos of the spies versus mercs game to make a more accessible offering to entice the masses. This included the beeping heart beat tracking which completely made the spies former shadows of themselves."

That feature could actually be considered a great thing when you think about it. Since the interior design of locations has several places to move about (below the floor, in the ceiling, behind objects as ground level) the heartbeat sensor can actually be manipulated to a skilled spy's (or spy team's) advantage--and make the hacking situation pretty tense. There's also that gadget which can fool the sensor into thinking someone's there.

When it's all said and done, that feature's a good two-hit punch of accessibility for a wider audience and proper thoughtfulness of integrating it for providing SvM nuance.

(A bit tired, mind you. Sorry if above is understandable. :P)

I'm really hoping this game gets back to the Chaos Theory style with the mercs vs spies. To this day it was the most satisfying multiplayer experience, nothing beats whispering "shhhhh" in a mercs ear before you crack their neck.

Lol! That's brilliant.

I remember being really excited about first being able to grab them and wracked my brain trying to think of a clever thing to say when I did ny first execute.

When I finally managed to grab someone, I just went full retard and said some gibberish like "you are nancndkmfmfl===="

Ah.....if only I had your idea.

Hahaha, trust me, this idea took some trials, but once I got it, it was all I ever said in their ear. People would get so mad at me in the lobbys.
