Alistair Aitcheson is the developer behind indie hit Greedy Bankers vs. The World, an iPad puzzle game which took on an added dimension when played with somebody else. He pushes this concept further, both figuratively and temporally, in his latest game Slamjet Stadium, a futuristic sports title in which chaos reigns, and rules are made only to be mocked.
Touch Arcade: There's no escaping it: multiplayer on a single iPad is pretty much always a full contact sport. It's all hands and fingers everywhere, ducking and dodging to see under and around your opponent and clear to your goal. You can try to fight it, to keep everything very organized so everyone stays in their respective corners.
Slamjet Stadium, the futuristic multiplayer deathsport for iPad, will be receiving Lite version which will hit the App Store worldwide on Thursday 18th April.
EDGE: "Multiplayer can be riotously scrappy fun as you clash hands and obscure one another’s view, evoking the memories and spirit of manic bouts of air-hockey at local arcades. The game’s ‘Pro-tips’ even encourage foul play, reinforcing the sense that Slamjet Stadium offers an uneven playing field by design; one for friends looking for a quick, silly thrill and, therefore, a sports game for people who don’t necessarily like sports games."
