Call Of Duty Black Ops Game Banned in United Arab Emirates

Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Quwain in the course of its inspection of local store confiscated computer games containing insults to the Quran, azan.kz. news agency reports

For example, a shooter game called «Call of Duty: Black Ops» contains a level where you have to pass through the library shooting at the shelves of books that include few Qurans. Also in one of the stages - Favela - right in the toilet a picture is hanged with an inscription in Arabic "Allah is Beautiful and Loves beauty." (Activision, Call of Duty, Culture, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Lucky Arabs...

I kid, I kid... I liked BlOps 2. I'm just glad to live in a country where things like this shouldn't happen... and if they do, we will take it to the Supreme Court.

I thought it said COD was banned in the US for a minute. Thanks for getting my hopes up. I was about to throw a freakin party.

Too bad it's not a world wide ban. Gaming would be signifcantly improved suckers.

Do understand that many people can get the game secretly and have already gotten the game.

Hell I got Saints Row The Third when it was banned in Saudi Arabia, It was the only copy left in the whole store.

The article is a little misinformed.

"Favela - right in the toilet a picture is hanged with an inscription in Arabic "Allah is Beautiful and Loves beauty."

Favela is in MW2 and they patched it a long time ago.

This article also speaks of the library full of Quran's in Black Ops, hence the title says Black ops. The part about mw2 was just a recap about how mw2 was also banned some time before this game too. Read before u post.

They talk about Black Ops then about Favela like they are in the same game. That's why they were misinformed. Follow your own advice and read before you post.
