"The Witcher 3" will have more than 36 different endings

RPG of the next generation, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will have 36 different variations of the story until the end of the game, which will take the player to three playable epilogues.

I'm replaying Witcher and Witcher 2 on PC for the fun of it. Alot of my friends didn't understand why I swore off Bioware, not until Witcher 2 hit 360. Can't wait for W3.

The Witcher 2 is amazing. But at least rent Dragon Age 3 on consoles and if it doesn't live up to the old Bioware standards than be done with them. Bioware has done so many good games, that it would be a shame to give up on them because of two flawed games. Either they will redeem themselves with Dragon Age 3 or they will confirm that they have completely lost their touch.

I've played Bioware games since they were tied to Black Isle and Interplay. They suck nowadays.

I'm currently working my way through Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, and it reminds me that I really miss the old Bioware...

Mass Effect 3's '16 endings' taught me to take these kinds of statements with a giant grain of salt. I doubt CDPR would do the same thing, but I'll temper my expectations all the same until I play the final product.

haha, there were like 4-5 different endings but 8-9 ending combinations in Witcher 2.

Didn't Dragon Age Origins have like 50 different ending combinations with most choices determined at the landsmeet?

36 different endings?? I'll take a well-made, enjoyable and fun game over 6 million endings.... So yes do that 36 but give me a real open world experience. Witcher 2 was awesome but it was short and the quests were a little vague...

I would be surprised if most of you even replay the game twice or three times. 36 different endings? Seems really pointless to be honest, better to focus more on other things then 36 endings. Who's gonna replay it 36 times to find it's ending? seriously.

The point is not so people play it 36 times, the multiple endings are there so people who are playing can see the impact of their actions in the game.

The 36 ending aren't all completely different endings. They're just variations depending on some choices you made. You could have killed someone and the ending just wont show that person or the ending will state he died. Usually only a couple dissensions in the game cause a big change in ending.

It's totally different. Third person, with the fight mechanics focused on the swordplay, much, much more story-driven. You should play TW2 to get a feel for it.

1st day buy 4 ps4 from what i have seen of this game and i haven't even played the first 2 but have a gist of the law and history of the witcher.

They're not trying to say that they did the 36 endings on purpose... It says right in the article they weren't going for something as complex as it is coming out to be.

And there are THREE actual epilogues, but can be changed with multiple decisions. This just means there's a ton of side quests, hopefully from an open freedom to roam.
