7 Reasons why Bioshock Infinite is the real Bioshock 2

OPM: We may not be in Rapture anymore Toto, but here are just a few reasons why Infinite is still unmistakeable addition to the Bioshock series and the true Bioshock 2, building on the same themes and ideas that began under the sea. What goes up, must come down. (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Looks great and the story truly makes a bio game and thats why bio 2 seemed a little rehashed imo.

Bioshock 2 gets too much hate. I loved the story. Definitely not as crazy impressive as the first game, but it was still one of the best games of 2010 as far as I'm concerned.

Still, there's no doubt in my mind that Infinite is going to match or exceed the first one.

Minirvas Den add on was actually a really good bit of storyline and great to play through... I highly recommend it to people who never played it.

I hated the start of Bioshock. It gives you no reason to do anything. OK, I crashed. There's fire around so don't go near that. But other than that you can stay endlessly floating on in the water or stay seated outside the tower hoping for eventual rescue. No game should have to force you through boredom to do something. And I realised right from the start that there's something odd about not explaining straight away who you are, something a bit 'Alice in wonderland the abridged version' about making you drugged up quite so early.

Compare with the first Max Payne game. Your family has been murdered. You have a complete spur to do things, to not care about how dangerous a situation you might next find yourself in because the most dangerous situation of all has already happened - you're like a dead man walking, it doesn't matter what danger you place yourself in any more as long as you make everybody bad pay for it.

That said, I liked the first Bioshock game. It reminded me of Resident Evil. It WAS scary. It was a corridor shooter par excellence although something that owed its roots to games a few years younger than it. And I have high hopes for Bioshock Infinite. It probably won't be aim to be quite as scary a kind of game but it will give more movement in an interesting setting.

I really like BioShock 2 not as much as the first one but I still enjoyed it thought it was interesting that you played as Subject Delta. I was excited when I first heard they were making a BioShock 2 so I got it on right when it came out wasn't as good as the first story wise still fun though! Was there a reason BioShock 2 wasn't developed by Irrational? BioShock is Ken Levine's baby or so I thought.
