DarkStation: "Special Forces: Team X is a multiplayer only cover-based shooter. That sentence is about generic as it gets and the same can be said about the game itself. The look of the game does little to set it game apart from any other cel-shaded shooter. The controls are fine but issues with the geometry and server issues keep the game from playing well and even when it does, you’ll be hard pressed to find people to play with. SFTX is just another in a laundry list of games trying to capitalize on the success of cover-based shooters but promptly fail to do so."
More deals, less money! Another midweek madness from Steam to make those long summer days more fun, lets just right in to it!
Microprose, together with publisher Atari, announced today that Special Forces: Team X will go on sale next week for the exceptional price of $4.99 (£3.99/€4.99).
GameFocus - You sneak up on an enemy camp seemingly left abandoned. As you approach a blue buzzing satellite, prepared to hack your way in, you notice the screen flash red. Before you can turn to take cover, your body goes limp and you fall to the ground. Only after your untimely death do you see the two soldiers hiding in the rafters, reveling in their kill. If Special Forces: Team X has one major drawback, it is that gamers have been here before.
