Pixelitis Picks: The most hair-pullingly frustrating moments in games

"Frustration. Rage quits. Controller throwing temper tantrums. We’ve all been there (some of us more than others), and probably not for the last time. Either developers are to blame for frustrating design choices (unskippable dialogue before a difficult boss battle, anyone?), or our own frustration is to blame for our lack of patience when technology doesn’t work the way we want it to. Either way, it’s a staple of the videogame medium we can all relate to.

That’s why we’ve decided to discuss our “favorite” frustrating videogame moments for this week. What’s your most frustrating game moment? Shoot us a comment below."

I hated that final chase in assassins creed so much. When it came to a bit where a bit of the wall falls out in the boat and you're supposed to go through there, I didn't know that.

I found myself trying many, many times to find a way to chase after him until I eventually noticed that I wouldn't get burned going through there.

For me this gen it was the stairs in Killzone 2 i didnt beat it i survived it, & that was only because i died so many times i learned where enemies would spawn & what was the best way to hide from them, from my playthrough there was no way to beat it just a series of duck run duck run & pray!

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
