*throws up a little* Sorry... If they're going to do crap like this for phones, at LEAST port them to the 3DS and Vita stores for handhelds...

I hear ya! There's no reason this couldn't have gone on the Vita.

As for the 3DS, it might take a little work, but its still doable, and they could put it on the e-shop.

Here's the reason, the Vita is selling poorly, and iOS devices sell quite well.
bicfitness  +   898d ago
To be fair Buff1044, iOS devices are losing marketshare. The Galaxy S III went over 100 million units in like what? Six months? (Pulling that number out of the ether, but it was something like that.) That's absurd. Expect the same thing to happen in the tablet marketplace. Fortunes, and favoured platforms seem to be shifting.

I'm still waiting on Lord of Apocalypse in English on the Vita. You know, a game SE actually made for the device but simply chose not to release in the West. I'm not holding my breath on that though.

I agree 100% I think this game looks awesome but I'm not gonna buy a Ipad or Itouch for it. I'm pretty much done with Apple after how terrible they treated me when I called for support a year or so ago. I mean honestly it's retarded for SE to not have this on other platforms. It's a simple 2D game porting it can not possible cost that much time or money and yet would make plenty really happy.

If this was on the 3DS e-shop I would buy it in a heartbeat. As it stands though I guess I won't be playing it.

Wow, they just keep whoring out those same God-damned sprites from the early 90s.

Talk about a creatively bankrupt company.
Snookies12  +   898d ago
I'm more worried about them whoring themselves out for mobile phones. It's like they don't care about the gamer market anymore and just decided to focus on casuals. They really need to get their priorities in order.
Buff1044  +   898d ago
Maybe you guys should buy more traditional handhelds, and then maybe publishers will pay more attention. This isn't a company decision because mobile devices are so much cooler. They go where the audience is.

You just now figured that out?

With FFX merchandising became as important as the game, and by FF13 merchandising became more important than the game. The game's only a vehicle, advertising, to sell stuff.

@Buff1044:
But there's nothing behind them besides exploitation of nostalgia.

Buff, you misunderstand. Godmars seems to get it.

Exploitation of nostalgia and regurgitated sprites. SE can put that crap on any platform and I still won't pay for it.

@Buff1044 - I already own a 3DS and Vita...

Some of us old timers like these sprites.
bicfitness  +   898d ago
That is what emulators are for.

I am an old timer myself (mid 30s), but this has no appeal to me. Ask yourself how much thought or cash actually went into the development of this game.

I have to agree. We've grown over sprites now.

This is just taking the mick. Where's FFvs13?

All those characters to control makes me wonder how the gameplay will feel.

Stupid

So what is this? Sort of like a retro FF mmo? Are all those characters like individual players taking turns or something? Sort of like Curiosity but an rpg?

Meh, doesn't look like it'd be for me.

web browser games, IOs games.....way to go SE!

Seriously, SE has the worst management in this industry. They're going down the shitter, and keep doing so. Everything they do just sends them further down. It's like they're not even trying anymore. They do the exact opposite of what gamers want.

Here's what I personally want from SE. Give me a new FF. Make it like FF 7, 8, and 9, where it's 3D but the camera isn't controlled by the player. So it isn't full 3D like newer FF games are. Give me a proper turn based battle system, no moving around, no real time action, none of that. Obviously make it HD, and make the environments looks good with a nice art style. Give it some nice CG cutscenes, with some decent voice acting. A decent story, with an interesting villain like Kefka or Sephiroth. Give it a proper summon system, either like the ones in FF 7 or 8. That's it. I don't need or want some grand 3D adventure along the lines of FF XII or XIII because it's clear that SE isn't capable of handling that or realizing that to its full potential, at least with the main FF series.

This looks stupid !

Why does japan love having 1,000 things happen at once so you can't comprehend any of it ?

We've just seen all the game has to offer.

You just spam 20 units against monsters and they attack stupidly fast so it just looks like the same thing is happening over and over and over again.

Thanks SE!
Qrphe  +   898d ago
Well, it's not like their main dev teams worked on this.
HarvesterOSarow  +   898d ago
That looked like pure shit. There's no way around it.
