Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Re:MIX is not just a simple remake. We have learned that the game will include additional improvements, including mapping the camera to the second analog stick, a zero EXP mode, additional combo starters, and will include a custom PS3 theme.

Chain of Memories and 358/2 have a lot of important stuff that lead into KH2. Otherwise you'll be Really lost at beginning of 2. You can easily find a videos of all the cutscenes of both games so you dont have to play through them all the way.
Wouldn't actually say Chains is necessary before going into 2 since you know just as much as Sora. While I do like a lot from 358/2, aside from a few things it's mostly world/character building Days came out after 2 anyway and would take a lot of mystery away. Maybe I'm just trying to simulate how I experienced the story but in that case I actually started playing 2 first lol. Cutscenes should be sufficient for sure.
I'd through 0.2 in there as well just cause it's so short and has a decent amount of information. What the hell did Mickey mean?
So I guess this confirms that it will be localized. I didn't understand why people were worried in the 1st place though. I all the other KH games came westward in some form, so why wouldn't this? I know a lot of people are gonna like playing this with the Japanese voices too, even though KH has phenomenal voice acting for english.
Oooh,'Special skills moved to triangle', what I liked about KH2 more than KH1 :D Might buy the collection now. But what the hell is Zero EXP mean? No leveling up in the HD games?
All I wanted from Final Mix was Japapnese voices and English subtitles. I'd much rather the Japanese voice acting over the English any day.
Dunno about you guys, it might just be me, but I'm not sure about this sequence of playing the KH games.
Personally, I think to enjoy the story properly it should be played in this order:
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts II (Roxas prologue)
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (Sora's Story)
Kingdom Hearts II (Main game)
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (Riku's Story)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
My reason for this order is this:
KH1 - obvious, it's the first game in the series
KH2 Roxas - It gives you a sense of wonder and for a second you're not sure if you're playing as Sora or a new character. Also, since you don't know what has happened to Sora in between KH1 and KH2, you aren't so perceptive of the obvious Chain of Memories hints.
KHCoM Sora - Once you're done with the prologue, it's time to find out what happened to Sora in between KH1 and KH2. I think meeting Namine and Axel in CoM afterwards leaves the most impact story-wise.
KH2 - An awesome game with an awesome plot. Must be played before Riku's Story in CoM otherwise huge plot twists would become a bit too obvious.
KHCoM Riku - Find out what happened to Riku in between KH1 and KH2. But there's more to do with Riku in...
KH Days - Here you find out about Roxas' past and the rest of Riku's story. Days is set before KH2 but it's VITAL to not play it before KH2. The game was released after KH2 anyway.
Why isnt this coming for the Vita. This would be a perfect fit
