it's the secret sauce these dayes

Zombies are not the thing that made the walking dead a great game. It was the amazing story and characters that brought it to life. It was an emotional rollercoaster that made you want to not stop playing.

I think it was a joke... no need to get all defensive. Telltale has been working with this formula for a long time, so their past efforts have helped them make The Walking Dead great too.

NewMonday4153d ago

overall it is the best game Telltale did, the best artwork and a better narrative, perhaps they worked closely with the original WD comic writer.

I hate zombies, literally hate them. Overdone, obnoxious and just blah, yet I played and loved these games. That is a testament to them not sucking.

Xof4153d ago

Eh... kind of. A lot of people don't like to think of Western adventure games and Eastern adventure games as the same genre, even though they really are.

Adventure games have certainly become more mainstream in recent years, though I don't think we can credit Telltale with that revival. Not entirely. They've certainly been the most prolific adventure game developer, but--honestly--when I think of the really good adventure games of the past five or six years, not one of them is from Telltale.

Storywise this game was amazing. Gameplay wise it was mediocre at best(iBDsho). Bob Dole's sure he's going to get disagrees but there were many instances he can remember being annoyed by the gameplay.

Sadly, this is Deja vu, with Telltale going through this type of thing before in 2018 - thoughts are with those affected. Games companies and all sectors always follow each other, with the bad press reducing as each new announcement is made - sad times we live in.

Still in the early stages. We won't get a reveal until two more years probably 😂

rlow1511d ago

I wish they would make another Riddick, Butchers Bay was the best.

hotnickles511d ago

You know what games I want way more than Indiana Jones? The darkness and Riddick.

Snookies12511d ago (Edited 511d ago )

Haha, completely agree... But, the fact that he is involved in this is a definitely a positive sign! Could actually be a good game!

hotnickles510d ago

You might be right. Indiana Jones will never do Jackie or Riddick stuff though. The darkness was brutal on the eyes and ears lol.

Leeroyw511d ago

The Darkness was an underrated gem. Fantastic lore and Mike patton from Faith No More voicing the darkness is up there with the great video game voice overs imo.
