GameZebo: Of the many lessons my parents taught me growing up, “words can hurt” is probably the one I heard most. At the time, I assumed they were just telling me to be kind to others. Having recently played Writer Rumble, though, I now realize they meant it in a far more literal sense.

The person who did this review doesn't seem to have a grasp of all the commands in the game.. you aren't limited to just one board in the Survival mode, you can switch it whenever with that button that looks like an infinity symbol.
The rest of their criticisms are valid gripes if this isn't your kind of game, though. I'm also of the mind that it's way easier to play this on iPad than it is on the phone/touch devices because of the amount of detail and stuff on the screen compared with the amount of space given to the tiles.
IGN:Writer Rumble is a great little game, adding a unique slant to the letter scrambler category with its charming style and a nod to people’s bookish nature. The game feels incomplete without asynchronous gameplay and rounds can sometimes end in a flash, but seeing a lovingly cartoonish illustration of Cthulhu sending volleys of “word-punches” at Jane Austen is extremely entertaining nonetheless.
1up - Online multiplayer action more than makes up for an unremarkable single-player.
