It's one thing to size up potential threats for protective measures, but let's get real: What are the chances of you actually having to deal with an onslaught of baked goods? Most ninjas I know train with targets that aren't edible...but then again, fruit is the apparent material of choice nowadays. Tell you what... The next time a bakery owner decides to use pastries, cookies, and gingerbread men as weapons against a direct competitor, I'll be sure to give this guy a call. It only takes a matter of seconds before you realise that Cypronia, seeing the global popularity of Halfbrick Studios Fruit Ninja, sought to replicate such success. Yet the original Cake Ninja strode into the top 20 best-selling games available through Nintendo DSiWare, so the developer can’t be faulted for once again seeking to attract the audience that fell foul of its restricted appeal. I guess.
Details of this week's European update have arrived, and they're perhaps not the fireworks we'd hope for at this time of year. There's still some variety across all platforms and a long awaited app arrives, though the price may surprise some.
