So the author is claiming that these elements are not what makes Final Fantasy games "special" yet proceeds to refer to the various games that used the five elements.
Had the author felt these elements were not important, perhaps he should have cited which elements were.
I agree with the list of five, as these are the general themes of each and every FF game.
