Due to mostly negative feedback, Bioware announced today that it will be loosening up the restrictions for its recently announced Free To Play version of the Star Wars: The Old Republic.
A post on Star Wars: The Old Republic‘s forums by game designer Damion Schubert explained these changes would be made after “community and internal feedback.” Because of this feedback, free-to-play players will now get a second quickslot bar, as well as the ability to run five Warzones each week. Under the initial restrictions, the second bar was non-existent for free-to-play and only three Warzone battles could be played each week.
EA is nearing an agreement to move the ongoing development and operation of MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic from BioWare to third-party studio Broadsword Online Games, IGN has learned. The move is intended to allow BioWare to focus on Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
