Shifted2u --- PS All Stars Beta Impressions

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale is set for release in November, only a mere month around the corner. To start hyping up the game, Superbot released a public beta of the game that was at first only available to PS+ members. The beta would give only a small taste of what everyone can expect to see coming in November. Is this game only a Super Smash Brothers clone? Or is there something better lying deep within Superbot's creation. Let's get down to business and find out.

Beta is awesome, my most anticipated game of the year!!
i cant wait

LtComAmbrose4206d ago

IMO it is a very very bad smash bros rip off ... which sucks cause I was really hyped for it..

*raises shield for wave of incoming disagrees*

smashcrashbash4206d ago

Sorry to hear that. But as more people play the beta the more alone you are in that opinion. And it is not a SSB 'rip off' any more then Tekken and Soul Caliber were a Battle Arena Toshinden 'rip off' as you put it. Get some new material please. Starting to sound like a broken record.

^ judging by your Avatar,
you are a lil nintendo fan with a tiny D__K

and it plays nothing like Smash bros.

LtComAmbrose4206d ago

Actually I am really not into Nintendo.
The avatar is because Reggie looks creepy as all hell.
Personally I hate the guy.
That said I cannot see why you wouldn't think this plays extremely similar to smash bros.

How about you play it first and see for yourself.

LtComAmbrose4199d ago

I obviously have played it... it is in open beta you tard

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69521d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop521d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard521d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi521d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin521d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus529d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer528d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
