It’s gonna be very difficult for any contender to defeat Smash at its own game, considering they have perfected the formula over the past 20+ years orso.

I do feel a company like Capcom has the characters in its rich history to make something similar, although I feel they would be wise to pour that rich history of amazing characters and worlds into the Power Stone concept, so you’d cherry-pick the very best of Capcom’s many MANY great characters and stages/worlds, and build some kind of Power Stone concept around all that.

You’d also have to nail the character-design and style for the new game though, so different styles would blend into one new consistent style. Disney Infinite did this very very well, Playstation All-Stars BR not so much.

I'd kill to see a Sega vs. Capcom game done with this formula. Won't happen tho.
