"The 'G' is for 'garbage'
UFO Interactive's eShop releases seemed to be on a slow but steady progression towards quality, with Johnny Kung Fu almost breaking through this underwhelming barrier. But then along comes Samurai G to pee in everyone's cereal.
Samurai G is like being presented with a spoon and a bowl full of live bees: just one look is enough to grasp what horrors await, and one scoop later you find yourself with a mouth full of bees and it's unsurprisingly horrid. Confusion, stinging, pointless agony and existential questioning follow.", writes NintendoLife.
Worth Playing: "Samurai G has some good ideas but ultimately fails to deliver. Even at the bargain price of $1.99, it's not really worth your time. There are much better games in the genre. Save your pennies for one of those instead."
Dali Dimovski of SideQuesting writes:
"Samurai G works fine at mixing pretty 3D visuals with a functional freerunning mechanic, but nothing more. It comes off as unoriginal and a bit shallow, and its relative shortness in length and gimmick removes any desire to come back to play it after the initial hour."
It's that time again when we cross our fingers and hope for some downloadable treats from Nintendo, hoping against hope that we aren't subjected to tricks instead. This week is a mixed bag, with promising, awful and mystery downloads available across all platforms.
