Well, it’s that time of the week again when we report to you the latest offerings OnLive has to offer. We had a bit of a break with no new releases last Tuesday, but we’ve got a couple of new PlayPack additions this week, one of which I’m REALLY excited about. Without further ado – TO THE GAMES!
New Games This Week:
- Another World 15th Anniversary Edition
- Seal Team 12
COGconnected: 27 years after its initial release, cult classic Another World finds its way onto the Switch. Unfortunately, the shine that had made it so special has rusted away, revealing a game that could only be considered good in Another World. The 90’s, maybe?
DotEmu and The Digital Lounge today announced that Another World, also known as Out of This World in North America and Outer World in Japan, will launch for Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2018.
Hardcore Gamer: Fortunately, there is another way to get your hands on Another World’s soundtrack in this format. The official Another World store has just added a blue vinyl edition which is, as of this writing, in stock for $30.
The 25th anniversary release was missing the console release soundtrack which actually had music during the levels which the original on the Amiga didn't. So this soundtrack is gonna pretty much suck.
I spent a little bit of time with the service last year. Took advantage of the free month they had on offer, which allowed access to a nice number of games. I also bought Borderlands and all the dlc for dirt cheap during a sale.
The service is good for what it is, but I don't see it gaining any footing in comparison to console or pc gaming.
I didn't even know Onlive was still around...
