"Ever try to go back and play those games again? It’s not so easy, is it? Really, what seems to be the rule is if you’ve played them in childhood, they’re much easier to revisit as an adult. Games you never played – God help you. It’s the nostalgia that makes us overlook the sticky controls, terrible voice acting, awkward game mechanics and embarrassing graphics of yesteryear. For me it isn't the graphics or voice acting that makes me "Suffer like G did", it's the ancient mechanics. Recall playing ANY old adventure games from Sierra? Yeah, you forgot to type "Inspect shrub" in the 10th minute, so you'll never get the magic frost wand to defeat the boss. You have to start over.
