The latest 8-bit classic to get a real instrument (just the sounds not actual instruments) makeover from the NicksplosionFX YouTube channel is none other than Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. To be exact the theme that got remade is the catchy tune that plays during Little Mac’s training segments in between circuits. You know, the one where he’s chasing Doc in a pink jogging suit across the NYC skyline?
With Mike Tyson’s recently successful exhibition with Roy Jones Jr proving that Iron Mike Tyson still has some power behind those punches, discussion of a Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out 2 (Or a sequel of sorts) is properly on the table. The multi-time heavyweight champion has spoken publicly about making a new Punch-Out game for the Nintendo Switch.

I own both copies on the NES I own the SNES and Wii port Punch out is a good franchise.
I absolutely love the series! Own all the NES copies and I even have that Club Nintendo exclusive Doc Louis's Punch-Out. ;)
So long as he doesn't go to EA or Ubi for some spiritual successor. It would be a smart move right now since he's come back into the boxing scene right? Capitalize on the hype, Ninty.
Whether you have real Mike Tyson and pixelated Mike Tyson fighting for the title of “scariest human being” or you’re questioning reality thanks to a malevolent Creator, it’s safe to say that some retro game bosses are just...unsettling. :-|
Definitely missed Giygas from Earhbound 2 on that list. That boss gave me nightmares when I was a kid. Finished the game way later as a grown up and holy cows, the boss still gave me the hebejebes 😂

I enjoy these, but for this one in particular I have to side with the original synth version.
