Nintendo Had International Spotlight and Announced… Cranky Kong?

The only thing that was trending on twitter from the VGX was Cranky Kong. I think people need to realize that this is the sort of thing that will sell WiiUs. The more WiiUs they sale than the more new games people who own that console will get. Lets face it, unless the WiiU sales a ton of units they aren't likely to get 3rd party support from major companies in a significant amount.

Nintendo has to move consoles and this will get them one step closer to it.

i know this because if i worked for a company that had a lot to boast and show off about, i would use that stage as a platform to boast and brag.

its a show, and they had nothing to show.

they could have made some an announcement regarding new and exiting projects. but they didnt. one can then only assume they have no new and exiting projects. ie nothing to show

I was really hoping they showed something for X, Zelda, or even Shin Megami Tense I X Fire Emblem. These are all things that people have been waiting to hear about about and I'm pretty sure there is some type of information they could have given us. They could have at least madea teaser trailer. I was really disappointed and let down by what they showed us.

im actually serious when i say am actually considering not checking for nintendo news anymore. people think im a troll, im not, im actually a nintendo fan, but right now, there is absolutely nothing to be exited about or even interested in with what nintendo is doing. all it does is frustrate you.

its not just for this show either, nintendo have become experts at disappointing people at e3. heck, thats even if they turn up.

Super Smash Bros or Mario Kart footage would have been the smartest move to sell consoles for the holiday season to prepare for spring. I mean the VGAs overall are what they are all hype. I am sure Nintendo will have their own reveal of those games to build anticipation

I watched the show. Let me say this...Honestly...I think the whole award show was embarrassing!!! Terrible, i was cringing all the way through, worse award show i've ever seen. I kept thinking, where the heck are the crowd??? & the guy who was hosting kept talking about his dippers!! was not funny at all!! WTF??? was very awkward & to be honest, Nintendo shouldn't have bothered turning up!!

but hey... at least Kranky Kong was the only thing from that show that was trending on Twitter, so i suppose Nintendo still got something out of it.

Nintendo and next-gen Tomb Raider port got the "is that it" treatment from the hosts and it was well deserved.

Even if the Nintendo "announcement" was leaked and it stole some of the surprise factor, this was a plain presentation, same old Nintendo showing boring Nintendo stuff. It sure must hard to stay awake in their cie meetings...

Considering that the entire show was Febreeze-scented garbage ~ I'm actually kind of glad they didn't show anything groundbreaking.

It's like shining a diamond in a dust-storm.

They save their groundbreaking announcements for E3 and Nintendo Directs. If the beginning of this year is anything to by, we may have one in January detailing future releases and of course more stuff for E3.

Am I justifying their act of bringing Kranky Kong to a "mature", hype-filled show? No; I think it's pretty weak. But, honestly - this is 2 week old news; why did this even get approved? Misery loves company.
