GamesRadar - The real world is monotonous and soul-sucking, but in games we can be knights, sorcerers, spies, assassins, and even criminals. Case in point: Grand Theft Auto. Over the last decade and a half the GTA series has become one of the most famous/infamous franchises around, and for good reason. What better escape is there than blowing up entire city blocks, running rampage in sports cars, and wantonly murdering anyone and everyone who looks at you funny?
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is an important game for Rockstar, not least because it was the first title in the franchise to use the newly created RAGE engine.
well, there aren't any, unless u're an idiot who can't distinguish between what's ok in a video game and what's ok in real life.
None.
But without a doubt, in the coming years we would still be here reading about a 14 year old who shot someone after playing GTA V, and guess what, the media will ignore that it was just one person out of the 20 million or so who own the game, what is that? 0.000005% who own GTA.
I mean it's still serious, but is it REALLY because of a video game, or the age of the player, their access to firearms, lack of education their upbringing and so on..
