That's most probable, and I bet there's more in the pipeline.

goldwyncq3909d ago

The wait for Persona 5 is unBEARable.

5 Days For the official Persona 5 teaser site .. i think !

Tidybrutes3909d ago

Persona 5 was announced a long time ago, its just we've had no information since.

MoveTheGlow3909d ago

And I hope they're bringing back Devil Summoner, now that SMT IV's out of the way. That particular team needs to bring us some more Raidou!

P5 on PS4 and Vita, with cross save. Would be awesome. :D

Donnieboi3909d ago

Yeah that would be sweet if I could take it on the go sometimes, and when at home, play it on a big screen HDTV.

DEATHxTHExKIDx3909d ago

Im almost done with Persona 3 FES im on the last month of The Journey. I would definitely drop cash for another Persona game.

dcj05243909d ago (Edited 3909d ago )

I remember when they first said they're working on it. Rumours then we're saying the new color was green and you go into a "mirror world". Wonder if its true. In any case I'm %75 sure this will be on PS3. They said in august 2012 that it will be on PS3 so.

Donnieboi3909d ago

Nah that was fan-made. A guy named AtlusxP5 made all that up. But his idea's, understanding of jungean psychology, and tie-in's with the past franchises (as well as his awesome music remixes on youtube) are one of the most impressive fan-inspired "sequels" to be conjured up.

BlaqMagiq243908d ago

Yeah that makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if it was PS3 only. Atlus has shown with P4 that a great story with great gameplay is what makes a game even with old tech.

Tidybrutes3909d ago

It basically means they are eager to develop whatever it is they are working on.

klecser3909d ago

Well, it would help if it were spelled correctly.

The article spells it correctly but the link here doesn't.

ZEALOUS.

So, Canary may know what zealous means, but may not understand that it was that adjective rather than some other game company or term...because of the stupid typo.

Canary3909d ago

@Klescer: I thought it might have been a reference to some esoteric MegaTen character.

That'll teach me to overthink things.

klecser3909d ago

Ha ha. It could be a MegaTen character.

The 89th demon of the Goetia, capable of forcing misspellings across entire websites. He wields a faulty keyboard and commands Derp legions of demons.

Persona 3 Director Says The Game Saved Atlus From Collapsing

The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.

SDuck237d ago

Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!

TheColbertinator237d ago (Edited 237d ago )

At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.

raWfodog237d ago

Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.

God, I Hope Katsura Hashino Isn't Directing Persona 6

Imagine a world where Atlus takes a risk. Imagine a Persona that looks nothing like the last three.

This made me chuckle. One person on the internet thinks Atlus should make changes to the Persona franchise, despite it's overall success and critical acclaim. Impudence Persona-fied

DarXyde1429d ago

1. 10/10 pun.

2. Hashino is a genius. Literally took an aging JRPG aesthetic and modernized it, in my opinion, better than anyone else.

AspiringProGenji1430d ago (Edited 1430d ago )

A persona game that does not look like Persona is not a Persona game. Go and play FFVIIR.... Let me have this stylish turn based RPG series

Juancho511429d ago

I actually havent purchased the royal version yet but I plan on doing it immediately. Never played the original.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen1429d ago

It's a long game, but if you're into TRUE jrpgs and classic turn-based combat (elemental attacks) then you'll enjoy it.

Juancho511429d ago

I just finished FF7 Remake, Dragon Quest 11, and Valkyria Chronicles...so I'm SO into it lol

Yui_Suzumiya1428d ago

Royal is hella amazeballs. It's almost like playing a new game. I'm about 100 hours in.

Spurg1429d ago (Edited 1429d ago )

"The most visible one is Hashino's seeming hatred for gay people, as he tends to depict homosexuality as a perverse fetish for sexual predators. He's also not immune to thoroughly dropping the ball with trans representation, from Naoto's "you made out with me good enough for me to be a girl" character arc to Lala Escargo's whole outdated and gross depiction."

WOW...just WOW...attacking a designer just because they depicted a gay character in the vision they wanted to.
The author forgets to mention Kanji who is a well written gay character who has a hard time coming to terms with who he is. This was a perfect way of writing a gay character without shoehorning this woke agenda in people's throat. The author doesn't mention it because she can't dispute the way he was written.

The attack instead is towards Naoto, who is actually depicted as a tomboy and never goes into anything that resembles a trans character or is even remotely mentioned as being one. The author has been pulling things out of her ass so much that she accidently pull her brain out.

There is an insurgence of these types of articles lately and always something that can easily be disputed without even trying. People who don't have knowledge of the game and the themes that come along with it can be easily misled using these articles.

Tapani1429d ago

Maybe the author forgot that in Japan, in its thousands of years of history, people haven't discriminated against gay people. In Japan's history men have been dressing up like women for hundreds of years, and that has been deemed as "beautiful" and "normal" in here. I mean, women painted their teeth black, because that was deemed as attractive as well.

It's a non-issue here, most of the people do not judge anyone based on their sexual orientation here, and just let humans be humans. Trans, gay, lesbian or any other minority (if that's what you want to call people, to me they are just normal people) has been represented in the media without any "hey, here's and LGBT+++ person for you and this is the person's stance on this and that sexuality and this is the person's sexual orientation" which seems to be the way the Western media represents people and what the attitudes are largely about: putting people into categories. Western people somehow seem to have a need to put things into boxes to understand them. And I'm Western and probably partly quilty of that as well.

In Japan people just let people be free, nobody cares, it's a NON-issue. That's why when Western people look at Persona 5 or other games or movies, they often fail to realize that people here do not see these representations as issues. And if you (the author of this article) do not understand it, it's then your (author's) issue, not the game creators.

TheGamez1001429d ago

Well actually kanji was never actually gay. Sure he was somewhat on that path and his true self depicted him as gay but he never really swung that way with other guys. His true self was really that he just preferred dudes but not in a romantic way I guess lol. He was always just afraid of and made fun of by girls, found guys easier to approach and had feminate hobbys and whatnot.

He shows signs that he is indeed attracted to the opposite sex throughout the whole game, like nosebleeding for the girls and showing excitement and shyness for the girls. His nervousness around naoto was just because naoto treated him well when they met when everyone else around him treated him like crap. He does seem romantically attracted to naoto after knowing she is a chick too especially in the anime and in some of the game's scenes.

Rise for example had her true self depicted as a stripper but did she ever want to be a stripper? No, it was just an exaggeration like the others' shadow selves.

Japan does indeed do a good job with lgbt stuff and doesn't do anything too offensive and over the line.
