When Nintendo announced that the Virtual Console would be supporting the Sega Master System console you can bet that there were a fair few American gamers scratching their heads in a rather quizzical manner. The console was a complete failure in the US thanks to a combination of poor marketing, terrible distribution, woefully misjudged software choices and the fact that Nintendo's NES was sitting under the TV in pretty much every American household at that point in time.
Check out this feature for an in-depth look at the history of this underrated console.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

It had one of the most influential RPG's of all time...The original Phantasy Star. Personally, one of my very favorite games ever. FOR THE TIME, there was nothing better.
was a fun game. I like the use of both carts and cards. I still have the transbot game card in unopened case. The 3d glasses were a nice addition. First version of home VR type headset.
There was even an adapter for the game gear called mastergear which let you play master system games on the go. Playing the original rtype on the GG screen. Makes me want to dig out my setup just to play rastan.
Heh I had a Master System 3 or more years before I ever had an NES. SMS had some great games, even if it wasn't well received in North America.
I still have this system. This console was the sh!t! Many of fond memories on this bad boy. Alex kid in wonderland. My all time favorite was Kenseiden! That game kicked every inch of some ass. Google it if your unfamiliar with this title. Too bad someone stole that game from me years ago.
