I doubt we will get any more other than snake and sonic maybe returning. Just because Nintendo adds 1 or 2 third party character doesn't you should expect more. Sakuri even said that megaman is a very special case.

Don't give up hope! Adding an extra third party character is an incredible publicity stunt. It would help out Smash Bros 4 and Nintendo themselves a lot. I don't think they'll go crazy with additions like you say, but Namco Bandai is working with them on this one, so that has to lead to something. Yeah, Sakurai said that doesn't mean Namco receives special privileges, but uh......HOPE! I wonder if Snake and Sonic will be back. Sonic should. He signed a contract with them.

At the most I see them bringing sonic back and then maybe they add one more sonic character(Knuckles would be awesome). But I really don't see any other third parties making it in. Id be happy if they could get geno in somehow.

ZeekQuattro3922d ago

Honestly the only 3rd party characters I expect is for Sonic to return and obviously for Megaman's debut. Other than that Snake is out as I can't see Nintendo doing Konami a favor by adding him with their current lack of Wii U support.

I'd enjoy seeing Knuckles as a playable character. Right now he's just sitting by his emerald waiting for a phone call. I just depressed myself.

Masterman2803922d ago

Sorry but we're getting Sonic again, and Pac-Man.

SethoN4G3922d ago

I don't know why you're apologizing, but I agree about Sonic. Pac-Man's great, but I'd love to see Klonoa come to the series as well. No idea what half of his moves would be though.

Masterman2803922d ago

We're definitely getting one Namco character, they're helping develop the game. I said sorry because none of the character on their list, will make it.

SethoN4G3922d ago

@Masterman280, The Namco Smash Bros character has been revealed! It's I-Ninja!

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga4d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas4d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
