10 Guiltly Pleasure Video Games You'd Never Admit to Playing

Complex - There is a nearly endless list of transgressions that we will take with us to our graves; guilty pleasures both great and small, that we are more than fine with nobody knowing a thing about.

Only played one of those and that was Rumble Roses. My cousin had brought it from GameStop and I tried it. Sadly it wasn't my cup of tea.

I admit to playing Rock Band who didn't? It was a very fun party game back then :)

Rock Band was absolutely brilliant. Easily the best social/party/drinking video game I've seen. It allowed people with zero experience in games to jump in and have some fun. As someone who was primarily a PC game, I thought the current gen of consoles offered me nothing new. Then Rock Band and skate. came along and changed everything for me.

Yeah, I don't really get this list. I still throw in the original rock band occasionally. Why the hell not? It was a good game.
Resistance 2 was a helluva right. The inclusion on list list is mystifying. Didn't it have nearly a 90 or something on metacritic? And even the Lost game, hell...I played that. I was a fan of the series and it's worst sin was being simply mediocre.

I get the nerdy pervert games being on this list, but DDR? Really?

the bouncer was brilliant, why wouldnt anyone admit to playing it :S, kinda wish they hadda continued with that, i felt they had something good their, felt like streets of rage.

sephiroth4203936d ago

you know id admit to playing all of these, apart from the pervy dead or alive game, as for one its some bullshit and how can people perv on video game characters, until they actually look real they shouldnt have sexual stuff in there, unless its just for a joke like the gta hooker thing, but to you freaks that perv over dead or alive and such games, theres something wrong with you.

hkgamer3936d ago

Rock band was a pretty good game.
I did enjoy The bouncer alot.
Winback was pretty decent.
DDR was enjoyable.

The other games I haven't played, but definitely isn't a guilty pleasure and I'm pretty sure most people would admit to playing these games.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
