Microsoft's Next Gen Xbox conference length details

There is a lot to be excited about this week as Microsoft plans to unveil their next-generation Xbox in Seattle, Washington on May 21.

Aaron Greenberg already stated that May 21st is all about the next Xbox, so I'd suspect we'll see the console, get it's name, features and a few games showing off the new tech, but E3 is all about "tons" of exclusive game reveals.

I want to see the console, see some games, features, the controllers!

I think whatever is out first in uk and Europe people will buy it. I mean Sony need to do a global launch or they will lose out normally they leave out Europe 4 months after releasing in America and Japan they cannot do this but probably will.

One hour is perfect. Save the 2 hour main event for E3 so they don't give away too much information to the competitors heading into E3.

1. Things I expected from tomorrow: Name of console, Showing the Actual hardware, Windows 8 integration, Skype and Kinect, information about specs and the features, showing the controller. Showing a few games (COD Ghost, something from EA, maybe Square Enix, A racing game (either Forza 5 or PGR), and maybe a last minute surprise from Either Epic or Rare).

Square Enix will probably come to the stage, show the same trailer they've been demonstrating for the last year, then announce to the world that they'll be making an announcement at E3. Nah, Im just being cynical. No company would do that at the launch of a new console in front of the entire gaming world....

Correct SDF repellent. This is hardware reveal. This is not E3. Any games shown will highlight hardware feature or demonstrate graphic fidelity. They my just show a few more teasers just to highlight developer support. But, this is not the place to announce new IPs and such.

I know I will take some stick for saying this but the controller is one of the main factors in me favouring my xbox over my PS3 this gen, I always wonder how much more time I would have put into gaming on my PS3 had it had a controller that was more comfortable for me,it is very important to me microsoft dont stray to far from the current design and having said that, the new PS4 controller looks like it will be far superior than their last iteration...

Sony does the subtle understated approach, MS will be all razamataz and jazz hands. Even if, like me, you have zero intention of buying an Xbox, its still going to worth watching.

The first fifteen minutes will probably be them announcing and explaining the console, outlining the specs. Then you would think they'll spend at least a half-hour announcing and showing off games. Probably a ten minute or so stage demo for Call of Duty. Then they'll get into Kinect and new XBL features.

Squeezing all that into one hour doesn't seem likely, guessing they'll save a lot of that stuff for E3.

Thats why I think the games will be skipped till E3. They are playing Sonys game now, and need to keep something back.

They will probably announce games, but only show off a very few. COD will probably be the "example" title, where they use it's gameplay to show off the controller and social features.

The rest of the time will be release time frame, possible prices, specs, features, Live changes, new multi-media, and blatant attacks at Sony lol

This event will be all about the hardware with Software following 3 weeks later at E3. So don't expect many games to be shown just yet.

Talk Specs
Show GUI changes (windows integration)
Show key third party games

They will save Kinect 2 for E3 along with whatever 1st party studio games they have going...

I am going to go out on limb and say COD will only be higher texture / resolution version of the previous COD.. The engine will be the exact same as the previous iterations.

when they announced Kinect a few years back they had a cirque Du Sole.

This is really interesting that They invite people to their campus for ONE hour to talk about the Next gen Xbox... My guess is they'll only show off COD:Ghost and that'll be to close out the show... So they'll spend 45-50 minutes, talking about, TV, Kinect 2, The name of the Xbox, the Controller and then say launching holiday 2013 and show off COD... a multiplatform cross gen game!

Somehow i feel this maybe underwhelming but i'm jumping the gun. I'll wait to see. N4G is sure to be a different place tomorrow!...
