Metro: Last Light Review - TheGamersHub

After surviving the terrible fate of THQ’s closure and multiple delays, Metro: Last Light is finally ready to let you explore the wasteland and ruins of Mother Russia’s Moscow city once again. This new instalment in the Metro series houses a host of all-round improvements, as well as continuing Artyom’s story. But, does this sequel provide a similar immersive experience to its forebear? Or is this actually the ‘last light’ of hope for the series?

I am so picking this game up tomorrow! So excited.

MadLad4013d ago (Edited 4013d ago )

Same here.

Was a little worried from some of the videos I saw pre-release but, now that I am actually playing, the game is definitely an improvement over the original. With the original being one of my favorite games,
well . . .
Just a fantastic experience so far. Not to mention it is possibly the best looking game I have played, with all of the settings maxed.

Maxed out it really does look great and so far runs smooth for me as well (1.5h in).

The gun play is pretty nice although stealth so far is pretty OP ;) Well worth my purchase if it holds up and can't wait to experience more of it. I'm glad they did it justice yet again as one of the best new IPs by far in years (imo) as well as a pretty cool book. Now I have to hunt down the next part of the book series in English though :(

Really digging the amount of stealth segments in the game

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco3392d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.
