Why You Should Play World of Warcraft

Is it too late for new players to Jump into the epic 'World of Warcraft'? Should current players still give it the time of day?

Played it for like 6 years... Tired of it now lol. Sorry, but the game changed way too much. It's all about what gear you have now and less about strategy and teamwork. Not to mention that gave rise to a lot of people who think they're better than you, yet don't know simple terminology when it comes to raids/instances. Blah... Fudge that man. I'll go back when the game returns to its previous form that was actually good.

WOTLK was the last expac I bought. Almost did 1025man ICC HC, but kept getting too many noobs, vets who thought after they got all their gear, that they could skip raids and of course, the gquitters that leave after getting a specific up or ups.

Game is dead to me.

im tired of WoW I have been a hardcore WoW player for over 6 years now and its tiring. I used to play around 10 hours per day but now I barely log on anymore.

WoW had a great run but I see no use in coming back to WoW as a whole anymore due to the lack of innovation and the constant level grinding is just not fun.

I'll play when they decide not to charge more than the actual game itself...

"Because it's bleeding players like a gutted cow and I'm panicking".

Also, to those that approved this, remember that: "Personal blogs do not qualify as a legit source for opinion pieces unless the author is an industry professional."

This obviously isn't written by an industry professional.

JD_Shadow4004d ago

You forget that it also has to represent the majority opinion of N4G. If that's the case, then it doesn't ever matter WHO wrote it or HOW well thought out it is. As long as people can agree with it.

Several big things are on their way out right now because the generation they relied on are getting older and want something different. WoW is one of them.

An Update on This Year’s BlizzCon and Blizzard’s 2024 Live Events

Blizzard writes: "After careful consideration over the last year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to hold BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it. While we’re approaching this year differently and as we have explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we are just as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in future years."

Diablo 4 storefront being a cash grabbing shitshow does unironically attest to that, kudos.

Microsoft needs to be guiding Blizzard to be what it USED to be, not allowing it to continue to be the greedy bastardization of itself that it has become.

XiNatsuDragnel8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

Okay i will be interested if they become old Blizzard but might as well be dead.

Rynxie7d ago

They will never be old blizzard. Most of all the OG's left from developers to those on the top (even some decision making folks left).

Vits8d ago

Shame most of the people that made Blizzard what they were, have already left a while ago.

ApocalypseShadow8d ago

I was about to say this. How can they be blizzard when they're no longer blizzard from yesteryear?

blacktiger8d ago

Rare was the thing I lost heart

victorMaje7d ago

Exactly. Blizzard hasn’t been Blizzard for a long time.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Knightofelemia8d ago

Blizzard is not the same Blizzard like it use to be.

PassNextquestion8d ago

Were you expecting Microsoft to hire everyone that had left Blizzard long before they purchased the company...

Microsoft has let the Blizzard company they purchased continue to be the Blizzard company they purchased.

thesoftware7307d ago

Wow, PassNextquestion,

You fully understand what that saying means, unlike some people on here who just have to say negative garbage talk.

When someone says, "Just let *blank* be *blank*, "they are just letting them operate how they operate.

It's pretty much how Sony "let Bungie be Bungie."

This comment section is full of outright haters, but you have to "let N4G be N4G"

GamerRN7d ago

This site leans so heavily in one direction...

BISHOP-BRASIL7d ago

I don't think people commenting are necessarily blaming MS for anything here, this is just collective longing for what Blizzard/Vivendi was before Activision's meddling.
