An article scan from the latest PC Gamer UK reveals that BioWare's Mass Effect could be heading to the PC. This is most welcome news for Windows gamers, but hardly surprising when you consider the Canadian developer's previous two Xbox titles followed the same path. Knights of the Old Republic started out as an Xbox exclusive, and its PC conversion followed four months later. Also, a special edition PC port of Jade Empire was announced at E3 and will ship in January.
Mass Effect doesn't arrive on the Xbox 360 until Q2, so we probably wouldn't see the rumored PC release until late next year.
Thanks to their innovative approach to gaming, RPGs like Dark Souls, Final Fantasy VII, and Dragon Quest left a significant impact on the genre.
ES3 set things off, it's a shame they got greedy and decided to cut corners so the executives could get huge pay days.
GF365: "A friend makes the adventure all the more fun. Here are the best video game companions that will keep you company."
The Mass Effect N7 Day teaser has already been decoded, and it features Liara T'Soni talking about The Council, and The Geth can be heard too.
Better not bring back Shepherd from the dead with some half assed space magic.
@snowb420.
Yeah I saw that at the end of my play through as well. I think they will bring Shepard back….. or at least a mutant version turned villain. Lol
Its yet further proof that if you have a decent computer you already have a 360.
i already know about this rumor, but if true, i think buying a 360 would be a cheaper route to take, than to fully upgrade my PC.
Some poeple seem to forget that Microsoft also care about PC gaming, and are going to do what they can to get good games on it. But most people would prefer to get a cheaper 360 than pay so much upgrading their PC.
Just like KOTOR it wouldn't suprise me if this came on the PC, but you would need a BEAST of a PC in order to run this game to the same graphical detail and framerate as the xbox 360 version. The 360 route is the best route to take.
Honestly I say bring it on. I like having the choice between getting a game for the PC or the 360. There are games I want to buy like Supreme Commander that no console will get. I have a high end PC anyways. Also, for those thinking that this hurts the 360 they are wrong. Microsoft makes money anyways hence why they are pushing live anywhere. This is also why Sony is trying to push the Idea that the PS3 is a computer since they know if the PC and the 360 have and will have a very strong marriage relationship.
