"Hark! A new dawn rises moving us closer to January and with it 2013. The year is shaping up to be an absolute blockbuster with a promising new game coming out almost every week of the first three months, plenty lined up to provide satisfaction later in the year and the widespread expectation of the earnest beginning of the next generation with Ouya, the Steambox and the next consoles from Sony and Microsoft all being released. It’s an exciting time to be a gamer indeed, but it’s always best to keep a reign on how much you’re looking forward to at any given time. With that in mind, we’re focussing on the first month of the year and listing for you the three biggest single player games for your consideration."
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them
2.
Dmc.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
Matt from We Game Daily writes: "Cross Worlds isn’t going away. It’s making a small fortune, particularly in Asian markets, so there’s no reason for Level-5 to pull the plug. That said, there’s no real reason why a full PC/console sequel can’t be developed alongside efforts to support Cross Worlds."
While Ni no Kuni 3 would be cool, if it was like the first game, where is Dark Cloud 3 and Rogue Galaxy 2?
They should've worked with Ghibli to put out a proper movie. Should've also made a Pokemon-esque spin-off rather than make Yokai Watch. If they do make a third game they gotta work with Ghibli!
I cannot wait for ni no kuni. I think its that game i have been waiting for since dragons dogma. i loved the demo
I've been waiting for a game like Ni No Kuni since Dragon Quest VIII...
I'll be getting both except DmC, that game looks like it'll give my PS3 herpes.
Hurry Ni No Kuni! :)
Hitman HD Collection - No brainer, def buy
Ni No Kuni - I've avoided as much of this games gameplay, screenshots etc as I physically can. It's Level 5 I love every RPG they've made (except WKC) so day one :)
DMC - I'll wait and see
