We recently got a chance to play Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge on the Wii U and could not have came away more impressed. The enhanced port really added in the elements that were missing on the PS3 and 360 versions of the game. Dismemberments are back along with a fully featured upgrading system, an exclusive playable character, and enhanced difficulty. Playing a port that added such great features to the game got us thinking what other games on could be enhanced with a Wii U Port? We managed to put together a list of games that could really benefit from the Wii U’s unique controller and added functionality.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
Hanzla from eXputer inquires: "If Xbox can care about preserving its games and legacy, what exactly is wrong with Nintendo, trying to kill game preservation single-handedly?"
Ahh yes the good old game preservation of saving all your games to a removable hhd on the Xbox 360, taking it round your mates house, setting up multiple tvs to
Be met with “save data corrupted, please re download”
Or how about removing 360 games
From the store
, download them now or else, and, better hope to god that save data doesn’t corrupt, or it’s lost for ever
Nice one ☝️
This is just a scammy PR move to distract from the fact they are going digital only and trying to push streaming and subscriptions only.
No gaming company has pushed harder to remove ownership than Microsoft.
Without discs there is no preservation, preservation can't be done by the rights holders it can only be done by the consumers, anything else is a lie.
Nobody wants this. Sales or the lack of it in the case of XBOX is very telling. I wonder how the adorably all digital series X will fare. Adorably dismal perhaps?
Only time will tell, but for from someone like me suspecting that Xbox is trying to gracefully exit the console market, that "forward compatibility" team is trying to get Xbox games playing on Windows PCs. I mean, it's nice that they're not planning on exiting with a "enjoy your games while the hardware still works" message, so that's nice. They still have a brand to protect via Microsoft so probably feel obligated to have a better exit strategy.
Danish from eXputer: "Nintendo has historically gone against player-made content and emulation of its games. This has done much to harm the company's image."
They need to stop announcing these mods and fan remakes until they're finished. Finish it, upload it, and then if Nintendo dmca's it tough shit. Once it's online, people can share it around, even if the original download gets taken down.
This is all coming from the mouth of short-sighted fandom and grifting madness.
No.... it wont. There is a clear defined reason why they don't. This is nothing new. Make your own shi7 from your own original ideas especially if you are trying to capitalize of it it. Duh.
Yeah, hire people that have zero respect or understanding for an established process. Wow. Yep. Totally makes sense.
I would personally appreciate if Resident Evil 5 and 6 are ported to the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system. I have never been a fan of splitting up franchises across different console brands, but still purchase them when necessary. Kinda like the Bayonetta 2 incident. If Resi 5 and 6 are ported I would be able have a complete collection of Resident Evil titles all under the Nintendo umbrella.
I would also openly welcome a Skies of Arcadia Legends HD port
Rated E For Everyone
I agree with a few of these like kid Icarus and borderlands.
kid Icarus seems unlikely though i quite enjoyed it the studio has closed and the makers said it was a one off. Borderlands has slight possibility gearbox seems to like the Wii U and id love to see it on there. castlevania i could also see a port of after the release on other consoles though.
the way resident evil is going lately i could care less and Other M is best left forgotten.
Guess I'm the only Dark Soul's fan that thinks the Wii U would be perfect for it. Dark Souls is an online game that doesn't have a pause button; the Wii U would be a perfect fit to have the inventory and possibly several hot-keys, on the Wii U GamePad. Also, the nasty slowdown in Blighttown could be fixed because of the extra RAM and GPGPU power on the Wii U. I know that FromSoftware didn't do such a good job on the PC port but they do know how to develop for consoles, and I think that they could do a killer port or sequel to Dark Souls on Wii U.
I know it's a long shot but it's just me hoping...
