The Start of the End of Social Games

If you haven’t heard by now Zynga, the largest social games creator, has received less earnings than anticipated for the second quarter. This resulted in a 40% drop in the stock for the company. Every company goes throu a downturn in stocks. Doesn't mean they're out for the count.

That is true but the casual market is the hardest one. It's really hard to come back up in that market

Ben_Grimm4291d ago

I do agree though that the casual game model has been completely over done and it does feel like a scam.

These companies need to have some balls and go in a different direction than what everyone else is doing.

But we'll see how this venture goes for them.

so according to these type of articles which their seems to be way too many gaming in general is dying. Since apparently PC gaming is dying, and so is console gaming dying as well and now Social/casual gaming is dying as well lol okay......

What's left they are all okay gaming is fine people like this site just need hits. Things peak and must go down eventually doesn't mean they will not rise back up again.

I have to give props for the use of Electric Boogaloo reference. I don't think many young folk will even know what that is.

On topic... wasn't that where Don Mattrick went after leaving XB?

I'm not that young tbh. I only remember the reference from Family Guy.
