It really IS just the Wii-haters who are so harsh on Super Mario Galaxy.

The consensus truly is that Super Mario Galaxy is a great game. And no amount of "LAST GEN LOL" is going to change that.

And I like Nintendo. But I don't think Mario Galaxy is a perfect 10. If it is a perfect 10 than Zelda Ocarina of Time is a 11 and Metroid Prime is a 10.5. Personally, I think it is a 9.5 game.

That butterfly in the stomach feeling I had when I played Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and Mario 64 wasn't as strong when I played Mario Galaxy. It's still an awesome game though.

I agree somewhat. I'd give Zelda OoT a 10, Metroid a 9.0, and Mario Galaxy a 9.5.

Camera is bad, graphics are HORRIBLY sub par. Artistic style may be impressive, but we have Ratchet Future to compare to, so no. Technical graphics are pathetic.

No Wii game will EVER deserve a 10 because it fails in the graphics category. And now the control category because it fails to provide us with a working movable camera which 2 analog sticks can do.

Take a look at Super Mario Galaxy in action. On a regular TV set. No, it doesn't have anti-aliasing. No, it's not HD. And no, it's not hyper-realistic.

But I'll be damned if that isn't some of the best art direction I've ever seen.

The camera is probably the best so far in 3D gaming for your info. There is one situation where it fails you and that is if you are underwater, in a corner and there is a large object in the forefront. All you can see is your shadow then. It is frustrating, and does imo keep this game from being a perfect 10, but it is a very rare occurrence. Name another time that the camera isn't completely awesome, let alone a bad one. There's never been a game of this scale with this much fully 3D surface area completely accessible and interactive, and they hit the nail right on the head with the exception of what I mentioned above. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. I doubt you've even played the game.
