Stephen Totilo — The new Spider-Man movie trailer is cool. It's also a bit familiar to those of us who played and enjoyed the 2008 video game Mirror's Edge. How similar? Watch. You might notice some amazing, spectacular coincidences.
Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.
Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.
That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.
"The Singapore-based indie games publisher Spiral Up Games and Qingdao/Shandong-based (China) indie games developer Aluba Studio, today announced with great happiness and excitement that their hacking adventure "Cyber Manhunt 2: New World" is coming to PC via Steam EA on May 10th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
"The Berlin-based (Germany) indie games developer Tarock Interactive today announced with great delight and happiness that their open-world survival/crafting game "Lost Legions", is now currenly in development for PC." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
People will find anything to bitch about. I'm sure Spider-Man was running along rooftops and jumping over shit before the guy's who created Mirror's Edge were even born.
Mirror's Edge 2!
And a Spiderman outfit option!
Though, I didn't think Faith was that flat chested...
Pretty blatantly. I was looking at the text thinking "Where the hell is the video" for about a minute before I realised that I was scrolled down the page.
Not really. Can't see any similarities. I am assuming the first person view is more to distinguishing its self from the previous films. I assume the author doesn't now free running/parkour is popular and appeared in films even before Mirrors edge was released
slightly off topic: the most blatant use of same footage can be seen in the gif pointed out by someone in the comment section http://cache.gawker.com/ass...
Personally I think that that is a huge complement for Mirrors edge
