Please not be a Dynasty Warriors clone

It's all I ask for

well that exactly what it will be . Remember the last ken game ?

And i think the vague crappy "cinematic melee action" tag gives it away .

Plus dimps makes awful saint seiya games .

edit : yup look at the trailer , it seems kinda like that http://www.youtube.com/watc...

@PirosThe4th

to each their own i guess . It was an awful cash in imo wich flopped for good reasons .

The beat them all part wwere worse than tekken force and that nina games .

Graphics were subpar even if somewhat respectful of the anime design , the gameplay was derivative and even cheaper than the already cheap by design usual anime games , the pace was slow (the game isnt just slow , it basically lags)...

The only saving and original grace of the game gets really tedious : reviving your char via athena's boon and use of cosmo energy (basically you mash button to stand back up from a Ko , as many time as you want , till the mashing gets increasingly too hard) .

Quite frankly , given what we've seen for franchise such as Naruto , bleach , dbz , or even Ken ... the two games were an insult to the franchise .

So again i'm not thrilled at all by dimps being back on the helm of the franchise

The PS2 fighting ones were AWESOME...
Ken's Rage was really cool though. This doesn't seem that bad. I like Dynasty Warriors style games. The only thing god is that they end up having more tactical and better Boss fights than any DW game. See the boss fights in Ken's rage were pretty awesome. Really depends the way they do it.

Baka-akaB4691d ago (Edited 4691d ago )

see above for my opinion on the two games .

As for this one , i dont mind a dynasty warrior vibe neither ... was just answering to Ahasverus wishing it wouldnt be one .

I'm just not thrilled it's by dimps , a company that makes even less efforts and love on Saint Seiya traditionally , than they did on the yearly DBZ releases .

It's worse when you consider that they are a great stuio when they wanna allocate their talent and ressources (they co dev street fighter 4 even , and got pretty much the original street fighter and snk staff)

Had it been CyberConnect 2 or a new studio , yeah maybe , but dimps ? Color me underwhelmed ... especially after than meh trailer

I wish it had NUNS2 graphics and wouldnt mind the Dynasty Warriors type play. I dont recall in Saint Seiya them always fighting a lot of people. I recall Seiya and the team getting beat up then they think of athena and a power up. LOL. I also loved Ken's Rage. Hokuto No Ken is the greatest anime of all time. Raoh is the greatest villian.

This looks sick. I hope its a turn based rpg.

Simon_Brezhnev4691d ago

Lol i doubt its turned based i wonder how far the game is going to go though. I hope they at least stop at Hades or Artemis arc.

FFXI1014691d ago

That would be really nice if they made it RPG instead of fighting. (same for the Naruto game)

I been waiting for it to come out since (Famicom), it was awesome game.

I still remember it.

Oh man, this brings back so many memories. I can't wait for this.

Saint Seiya Sanctuary Battle (Import) Review (JustPushStart)

"Similar to the US, Japan also gets “movie” games. These are more commonly known as anime/manga based titles. Unlike the US though, these titles aren’t always awful. Saint Seiya Sanctuary Battle tries to bring time tested gameplay into the world of Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac in the US). Most were skeptical of how the game looked good, but anime games have a long history of deep flaws. Many of these relate to how they represent the series. " - JPS
